I took a look at your BIOS image. Unfortunately, while your chipset may support AHCI, your BIOS image does not.

Is there an updated version of the BIOS available on the manufacturer's website? If so, it may include upgraded AHCI functionality. If you give me the link, I can check the BIOS image for AHCI.

No Problem!
In 2012, I used syncmos to enable AHCI on my girlfriend's laptop, a Sony VAIO VGN-CR11Z.
It came with Windows Vista Home Premium, 32-bit.
Here is the latest BIOS image for this notebook:

Using syncmos I was able to do a fresh install of Windows 7 Home, 32-bit
on a new SSD in AHCI mode.

I also install Fedora Linux on a small partition and installed Grub as a bootloader.
Linux has no problem at all with booting in either IDE or AHCI mode, so this
helped me to inspect the results of using syncmos.

The problem now is that Windows 10 will not boot in AHCI mode, where Windows 7
did, and Linux still does. I had to revert Windows 7 to IDE mode, otherwise the
upgrade to Windows 10 would fail at the stage where Windows 10 was booting
for the first time.

Even after a successful upgrade to Windows 10 in IDE mode, I still am unable
to boot Windows 10 in AHCI mode, even a safe boot. Windows 10 feels
definitely slower, and sometimes hangs at boot for minutes.

This make me wonder whether there is something wrong with the settings I
used for syncmos. Unfortunately, I can't find what I used as a source, but I
still have the syncmos files I used, which I will attach to this message.

Another thing I notice under Linux is that in AHCI mode, the onboard
DVD writer is still connected in IDE mode. Is that to be expected?
Could that cause Windows 10 to fail?

hello, me use a Sony VGN-BX41XN with bios "R0190X9"

enable: HPET, sata hot plug, VT-x and/or AHCI and/or DEP

and pls disabled the vaio logo at bios boot.

me read the tutorial on tracing NVRAM, but me dont unterstand part "Please read this reference information BEFORE you continue with this process" and some other...i try it hard and Long time but...sorry, and many thanks for help me.
