Hello, I would like to get support for intel core 2 quad q6600 cpu on HP pavilion a1654n (buckeye-GL8E). The BIOS is in my signature. This bios supports the CPU and have the same chipset: http://downloadmirror.intel.com/17153/eng/MQ1754P.BIO

Can someone do this?

Thanks in advance,
Acrilex

EDIT: The actual bios attached is an AwardBIOS. The one in intel download, I think (not sure) it is an Intel EFI BIOS

Hello acrilex !
I had extracted microcode from MQ1754P.BIO and injected it to 508.bin
You can try it whether to support q6600 .

Thanks You,

Do you think I can recover my BIOS if I corrupt it with your image?
Hello,

Could anyone add support for E5320 on the attached AWARD BIOS "508 (1).bin" ?

The problem is that this is a g965 chipset board, and that the CPU isn't listed to support it. I have seen that the chipset isn't a problem, according to 771 to 775 mod reviewed as working: "Gigabyte 965GM-S2 G965 / ICH8 1066 At least all 65nm Xeons with a 1066 FSB"

Here is an Phoenix BIOS that supports it, although it doesn't have the same chipset. it is named "X7DAE1.704.bin" in attachment. Remove the .BIN, .704 files were not authorised as attachement

Note: My motherboard is a P5BW-LA HP OEM

Thank You,
Acrilex
