On my EVGA 113-M2-E113-TR my Phenom II X2 550 BE cpu is reported as "Processor Model Unkown", even though the cpu works fine. And I can only overclock with hex code, (Is there a way to make this selectable, like in increments instead of hex). So I was wondering if it was at all possible to get these things to work? Thanks for reading. Attached is the bios file.
I did all of the CPU updating, but as for the Hex I think you are outta luck. I advise a "form of bios backup", because CPU upgrades are pretty crazy thse days.

I thank you very much! I ordered a replacement bios (earlier this week I corrupted my bios with a bios update from EVGA >I flashed it through Windows >.<), and it was only $9.98+$5.48 shipping on Ebay. As soon as I get it I will try to hotflash this to my busted bios (With a floppy this time lol).
This bios mod you have provided is working flawlessly. My CPU is now actually recognized as an AMD Phenom II X2 550 in the bios and in Windows.
I was going to hot flash the busted bios, but the chip is in the SOIC 8 pin package with a mechanical "hinged-door" mechanism on the motherboard.
Thanks again though.

Ok, I didn't know if I should start a new thread for this... but anyway here is my problem. I wanted to add slic 2.1 to this "CPU updated" bios, but when I open it up with AwardTool133 I get this message "This BIOS already had a SLIC (2.0) table added with the 0+2=0+2 method". Would it be possible for me to remove SLIC 2.0 and then put SLIC 2.1 support on it? Also, would adding Phenom II X2 550 BE support to the bios cause this to occur? (Stupid question but I have to ask)

I fixed my goofup Big Grin
Im sorry, but I had to laugh whn you blanked out your name and left it visible in the bottom field. anyway, i will try to add the SLIC 2.1, the CPU upgrade should have nothing to do with it.

Undecided Epic fail, and I laughed when I read your reply( I guess if your gonna ... censor something it's best to double check. Confused )
And thanks for helping me again.
