Your BIOS mod is complete!

I am now in the process of verifying the image to make sure it is 100% safe. You can expect your flashable BIOS image within the next 30-90 minutes.
Thanks you so much

Hello noula,

Your modified BIOS image is at the bottom of this post. Please be sure to read the README contained within the archive for information about the BIOS mod as well as standard precautions/warnings.

The "bios_mod.rom" file is the file that you will be flashing. You may need to rename this file to "bios.wph" before flashing.

Now for the usual warnings...
Quote:Warnings/Disclaimers:

Please remember to take proper precautions when flashing your BIOS. Even if the image is safe, the flashing process can still fail. Make sure that (if applicable) your notebook is fully charged (100%), the power plug is properly connected, and that the chance of the power going out is as minimal as possible. Do not interrupt the flashing process. If possible, it is a good idea to have a working CRISIS recovery disk when messing with your BIOS. Use the flashing instructions for your particular computer brand. DO NOT DO ANYTHING UNNECESSARY!!!

I take absolutely NO responsibility for ANY damages that may occur to you, your computer, your personal belongings, your neighbor's cat, or any other personnel as a direct or indirect result/consequence of your, or any one else's, use or misuse of any of the files that were in this archive. You assume full responsibility for any damages that may occur by choosing to flash, or otherwise use or misuse, this image or any of the other files within this archive.

Have fun! Smile

Please remember to post the results of your flash!

Thanks for confirming,

Moved to unlocked /mod
I played with all the options and worked as intended .
If anyone else use this bios i must inform him/her that if he/she changes hpet to disabled his latency from 350ms will become 70 ms.

In the original bios u cant disable hpet.
So thank u Sml6397 for unlocking this bios and giving us the oportunity to disable it.
sincerely

Noula/Steven,

Thanks for asking and modding! I have the same model laptop and can confirm that the BIOS is working with no issue. I am very new to BIOS modification and am still reading quite a bit. I am very interested in any more settings adjustments that you've made Noula or any further work that you might have done to the BIOS mod Steven.

Noula, about the latency drop you mentioned whenever you disabled HPET, how did you measure it?

Adam
Hello noula & Grr.Williams,

I have recently discovered and confirmed working another type of Phoenix BIOS mod. This involves expanding the Main Menu anywhere from 8 to 40+ items in size. If either of you are interested in the new mod, PM me or leave a reply here. I am on vacation right now, so the ETA for the BIOS mod could be anywhere from 2 days to 1 week.
