oki dokies,
odd request - would you mind taking a break on this mod?
theres an even newer version, p07. This is an official release (D13 and 14 were beta releases), so having the mod incorporated into the p07 would be much more preferable.
the only thing is, i cant seem to download it at the moment (website error), so i will post it here when i get it.

thanks.
Ok , thats no problem , we look forward to modding P07 Big Grin

me again,

ive just got hold of a copy of the p07. ive also just found a new menu for "core releaser". guess what? foxconn have decided to renable core unlocking ... and it works.

thanks for all your time guys, but it seems this mod aint reqiured any more :/

however, there is a minor annoyance. if i were to post the bios anyways, would you mind taking a quick look?
my problem is, if i try and set the ram to run at 1333mhz (as it is supposed to), the bios decides to bump the voltage to 2.1v. these modules are rated to run at 1.8-1.9v, and the board will only let me overvolt them, not undervolt them. This is slightly concerning, as i dont want to damage the ram (2x2gb OCZ platunim 1333mhz).

ive reported this back to foxconn, to see if they're working on a fix...
Glad to see Foxconn have reenabled core unlocking. Big Grin
I will check to see if I can enable the lower voltages, not positive on this one though.

in that case, here it is.

There also the problem of the HT link locks itself at 5X (should default to 10X) when i unlock the cores. this sounds like it could be unlcoked again. here is the reply i got from foxconn about it:

"2.HT link multiplier was limited in this new BIOS.
You can't raise it over the defaults"
Anyone fixed this POS bios yet? Its not a bad board would like to get the unlocker and overclock/HTT working together. Newegg selling board now for 49.99 expect some visitors looking for fixes.

any luck with this yet ? I am having the same issue if i post with my ram at 1333mhz (666 in bios) mobo will run at 1.65v( shows 1.888v in bios thinks its a bug from the ddr2 version) and not 1.5v. However if i run my ram at ddr3 1066 or 800 it runs at 1.5v as it should.
