Hi, I would like to have my UEFI settings unlocked, but if that's not possible, I would at least like to be able to boot from any GPT disk that has an EFI system partition with EFI\BOOT\BOOTX64.EFI in it and use AMD-V.

Make: Acer
Model: Aspire 5517
Bios: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6NK5vZ...sp=sharing (It's titled NCWxx111.FD)

I don't mind trying multiple firmwares, since I have found the recovery method. For those who may want to know, make a flash drive with an MBR with the first partition FAT16 and marked active (boot flag enabled) and put the bios file on the root of this partition with the name "BIOS.FD" (very original name, Acer Tongue) and use the FN + ESC method to flash.

Hi friend,
from my experiece if your Bios has not UEFI modules into and not developed to Boot from GPT is very difficult to get It working !
I tried on Acer Aspire 8951g following Rajkosto and Akbar tests and I got only settings and listing Form for UEFI GPT, but not Boot !!!
So I can look for the UEFI presence into EFI IFR Code and We can try to show It, but not Others.
About at AMD-V if present in your Bios We can show It !
Use this tool, run It as Administrator and upload here the result file to get your Eeprom Status :

Is that normal for an AMD platform machine? Or did you just want the ACPITBLS.BIN and insydeBAK.BIN?

What does this do? I changed 0F 84 (jz near) to 0F 85 (jnz near) and it just displays one 'Advanced' pane in the setup and only has one unusable option in it...

And this is what happens when you mess with the wrong HII opcodes xD
