As I was to reformat the laptop, to make everything smoother and after almost two years with the same OS, as I watched the manufacturer's website (medion) if there was any new driver, and I found drivers, and updated BIOS (it's a bios of American Megatrends inc. Aptio). It was for windows 8, and was the operating system you want to put in my ssd.
The problem (I think) is, that to update the BIOS program that runs on windows, and takes account of background processes used. I closed everything and installed. It took a while, and when you restart the computer did not restart, kept the light burning button start and not turned off ...., waited, waited, and when he had spent over half an hour, I forced the leaving off down the start button and rebooted. I went into the BIOS, checked settings, and press F10 to save changes and there and I noticed that it was harder while the normal exit the BIOS and reboot (about 10 seconds + - from press f10 and leave the BIOS). I managed to get into windows and everything seemed to work, until I wanted to shut down the computer and stayed with the screen off, but lights and other power button on, we will not be turned off completely .....
I have reinstalled the operating system, I used two different disks, and always the same, does not go out ...

I spoke to the service of Medion, and they can not give me a different version available on the web, and do not give me a solution ...

I tried to reinstall the BIOS update, and as the program recognizes the latest BIOS installed because it does not let me reinstall .... That odyssey ...
Looking for possible solutions, try to restore the default BIOS values and not worked, looking, I found a way to make clear cmos on a laptop, which was to remove the battery, disconnect from the mains, and letting down the Bonton starter for time (1 minute + -) is to clear the cmos, and I thought well maybe ... and do not be arranged, indeed, have had to annoy the battery plate and now when the laptop is not going well stop disaster stays at the time it went out, and sometimes working, also for ......
I looking for more, I found a program called afudos (I still have not used), which serves to update AMI BIOS, but did not have BIOS file (.rom or .bin).
Running the program to update the BIOS in windows, I discovered that decompressed some files in the folder user / appdata / temp (s approximate, I can not remember the exact route) and one of them was bios.bin, without closing the program, I copy the file, and I think updating the BIOS, but I'm terribly afraid not use either the afudos, and finished definitely spoil the notebook, and it costs me a new board.

I try with afudos to reflash the file bios.bin, but when i try afudos tell me bios is write protected.

If someone could help it would be great, I've been mulling over longer a time....

Thank you so much. (I hope I explained well ...)

sorry for my english.

Here is the .exe file contain the bios.bin

https://www.sendspace.com/file/koal68

i don't have a program to install, i try afudos, but don't work......

Thank's
Yes I know It and I extracted from Bios Update on Medion Site !
But You sent a BIOS.BIN and It extracted from this file !
On mine laptop the .exe don't want to start and is impossible to
extract the folder with all included files, so only You can do !
While You run this update don't confirm the update and open a Window
pointing to the temporary Windows Folder so type %TEMP% into path
and hit enter then into this foldel look for the BIOS.BIN and folder containing
It then copy all files from that folder into another one You created before
into another place, pack all and upload It for me !
