I found two Chips :

This is present on Board
Winbond  W25Q64BV 8192 KB (8MB) Bios

This s projectual
Winnbond W25X40BV 5120 KB (5MB) EC

So Manufacturers many tie to be cheapers can include EC Firmware on Bios Chip eliminating some costs.
This means that You on Project there was W25X40BV and into the upgrades there is W25Q64BV and only
You can say the true dismanteling your Laptop an seeing MoBo !
Now I have to look near the Chipset Mobile Intel HM77 as It needs as much as power to write on SPI and
the Chips have o be shorter near him !
Let me know (I want to know)
Regards
