I'm very happy you got your MB up and running.

I compared your posting with what I provided and the difference is that I updated the microcode list NCPUCODE using the latest from Intel. It should have worked with your E5472 (CPU IDs 10676 (SLANR) or 1067A (QFTD, SLBBH)). These are included in the latest Intel microcode but apparently have a problem.

The E5472 is a full featured CPU:
  • MMX instructions
  • SSE / Streaming SIMD Extensions
  • SSE2 / Streaming SIMD Extensions 2
  • SSE3 / Streaming SIMD Extensions 3
  • SSSE3 / Supplemental Streaming SIMD Extensions 3
  • SSE4.1 / Streaming SIMD Extensions 4.1
  • EM64T / Extended Memory 64 technology / Intel 64
  • NX / XD / Execute disable bit
  • VT / Virtualization technology
Can you run CPUID CPU-Z and see in the Instructions box if the above features are noted? My understanding is that the older microcodes will omit the EM64T and VT-x.
Every time when i try to update the microcode, the mobo wont boot (with xeon and with an originally supported CPU too). Only work with original (untouched cpu microcode) F6a Bios

CPU-Z
Member Shizof experienced a similar problem as you did. I did not modify his NCPUCODE. Since the RTEGROM260 worked on your MB, my suspicion is that the AHCI orom I also updated may have a incompatibility with some earlier Gigabyte MBs. We'll know after he tries the latest version I provided.
EM64T / Extended Memory 64 technology / Intel 64 working, i use 64bit windows and cpu-z say show the 2 missing function
Updated with xeon e5472 CPU microcode

Which Intel RST RAID driver is installed? I had random BSODs occur when the 13 series driver was used. The 12.9.4.100 version appears to be stable with no BSODs when used with the 12.9.0.2006 OROM.
