Hello,

I have a HP DV4 1225ee, and i kindly ask if somebody can update for me the microcode in order to use the quad QX9300 CPU, which currently does not boot when i set it on the motherboard, as the chipset is PM45 REV7 it should support the quad core processor.

my laptop specifications   <--here are my specs

I attached my dumped bios (i dumped it with Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0) i also add the link(in case my dump is not good) of the original last current bios Current Bios Oficial

Also if possible to be unlocked the hidden futures would be great Smile

Thank you in advance
Hello friend!!

I got a information for qx9300 at cpu world,following link

Its cpuid is 1067a but i checked your backup bios  by Intel Microcode list.
I found it already included this microcode ,you think??
Or replace newer microcode?

Another thing,although you can backup bios,but do you have other method to re-flash it on bios chip ??
This bios type is insyde,so i suggest you to use its exclusive flash tool to run flash bios and backup bios  is more safe.(ex:insydeflash or flashit)

Hello and thank you for answering Smile

As i can see in your screenshot the microcode for qx9300 is earlier then the processor life of existence

mb microcode for qx9300 from 2008/04/09
and cpu was released in aug 19 2008

So i think that can be a problem why might not boot the laptop with this cpu

Regarding method of saving insydeflash:

I don`t know if this software (Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0) made a good backup for the bios, i also provided the direct link to my bios....

What is strange when i try to backup the bios with the original program, with this method by modifing the Platform.ini into

[BackupROM]
Flag=1
FilePath=c:
FileName=file.bin

When i run Winflash, will not take into consideration those settings, and will just update the firmware and will not make backup as in the settings, also noticed when the update is done after the restart that file Platform.ini is restored with the initial settings!

IF you have any suggestions of how can i make backup of the bios with the original software i gladly will.

In conclusion, i think the microcodes needs to be updated, and maybe if possible to be updated on the original file as in :
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...ob-84257-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&product=3877157&sw_lang=

Here is a quick report from that file when the software is flashing:

reparation stage

    Processing parameters...
        Image file     : C:\Users\nongratA\Downloads\microcode\temp\30F7F66D.FD
        Backup file    : No Backup file
    Loading new BIOS image file...
        Opening file C:\Users\nongratA\Downloads\microcode\temp\30F7F66D.FD...

        BIOS image size is          : 1048576 (0x00100000)

By the logic this "30F7F66D.FD" should be the bios image from the sp48847.exe file

Thank you so much

Regards
I'm adding also that file that i was talking about earlier from the original bios exe maybe it helps
