Used this guide but get dd: invalid argument message.

I'm running Linux via live CD.

Any ideas how to enable AMD-v?

The laptop is the same model and it's the same problem.

Try running fresh installed Linux, not Live. It may have limited functionality.

Or you can modify the BIOS to:
- Unlock SVM support setting (recommended);
- As device is based on K16 chipset, force set MSR 0xC0010114 [C001_0114] bit to 0.

Thankyou for the answer!

Installing fresh Linux will happen soon, until than I would try your next ideas:

- unlockung this option in the Bios is unknown procedure for me Smile Can you point what do I need to do it? PM me if you would like not to write in this topic.

- for enabling  MSR 0xC0010114 [C001_0114] to 0, can I use the msr module in Linux (live CD for now is my best option) with the rdmsr command?

Thanks in advance!
