But it does not have the whitelist code removed.

Can someone just modify the above version?
Hi,

Could you please help me with the WiFi whitelist removal on Lenovo Y480?

Here is a backup of my BIOS - http://rghost.net/6dX9gB2SN

Thank You so much!
-Motherboard Model: Intel HM76 QIWY3 LA-8001P? not completely sure, laptop model is in title
-Bios Version: BIOS 5DCN40WW v2.07
-Bios Date: 10/10/2012
-Bios Lenovo: Ideapad Y480 5DCN40WW
-Original Wifi card: Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2200

-New Wifi card: Atheros Ar9280 AR5BHB92

I'm trying to remove the whitelist garbage so I can run this new wifi card. I've been searching and reading for days. I can't find the .fd file and none of the tools seem to work for me.

Thanks for any help (or the modified BIOS)
~Dave
Progress....

I'm at the point to where I've created the .com file and have to run it through the debugger to find "test al, al". I downloaded VirtualBox and the virtual Windows XP. Got everything running. Spent about an hour and a half going through the file and never found it. I also didn't finish going through the file because when I unplugged my laptop, the virtual machine crashed. Now I cannot start it again. Every time it tries to start windows, it crashes and restarts...just a continuous loop of that. I've tried creating new virtual machines to try again and get the same thing over and over.

Here is the file if anyone wants to give it a try.

[url=https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5nSNQEzeIFdbXVCU1RuRXBkbEk/view?usp=sharing]I'm not really sure where to go from here. Might have to re-download stuff and try the virtual machine again.

Still no luck.

I've got the virtual machine working again, but not finding the part of the .com that I need. I spent hours going through the file.

No one can help?

Hi
"eGPU whitelist" does not exist...also your laptop model does not require a SPI-programmer
