Bios Mods -The Best BIOS Update and Modification Source

Hello!
I'd like to request a microcode patch for ASUS P5KPL-AM SE, to support Xeon processors.
The processor - a Xeon E5405 - has been installed, but on every boot, the following message appears: "to unleash this cpu's full power, please perform BIOS update process"

I've attached the latest BIOS firmware file and the required microcode.

Just to know, when you mod, do you have any problem with boot any drivers? I did the same mod as you (e5405+p5kpl am se) and I can't boot from any driver, be it a HD or Cd/dvd driver.

I have the same MB P5KPL-AM SE , but version 0805 with or without microcodes is rejected by the bios.

Looks like 0702 is the latest that can be updated here

Hi, there are 2 issues with the included microcode you provided:

1. Incorrect Platform ID
2. Outdated (2008 compared to latest 2010 microcode)

Nevertheless I have added all the correct platform microcodes and latest also, here you go: https://www.sendspace.com/file/a9yj1x

I've tried but it says "ROM ID in the file is incompatible with existing BIOS!"

BTW, where did you find the 0805 version !? The latest I've found was 0702 (from the official and other pages).

Please check if you've used the correct ver. and upload it again , I'm struggling for a week already with this mod.....

Now I'm using 0702, which was the latest I could find .

Unfortunately the problem might be with the adapter, because it can't pass POST

Hello everyone, I recently bought a used Xeon X5460 processor, here I have a motherboard asus P5KPL-AM SE, when I connect the Xeon X5460 processor to the motherboard, I turn on the computer it stays for 3 seconds and it turns off, sometimes it almost goes into the Setup soonest turn off, I'm with Asus Altima rom, I need a Rom MOD 771 To use on P5KPL-AM board IF anyone can help min?
