Bios Mods -The Best BIOS Update and Modification Source

Hi,

Please guide me , How to install (2x8GB )16GB memory on Acer 4820 TG.

I could install Total 2x4GB =8 GB and laptop works fine.

when installed 2x8GB =16GB DDR3 RAM , BIOS shows Total memory of 16384 MB.

But windows keep crashing and can't start.

Then I tried with 1 stick of 8GB and 1 of 4GB that is 8GB + 4 GB modules and laptop can work.


is there any modifications needed. I read about BIOS mod for 4820TG but it does not say about 16GB support.

Please help me to overcome this. I do not have budget to buy expensive laptop.

Hope someone can help with this mod.

Just to update , I could solve the problem of 16GB not working on 4820TG by replacing motherboard. I replaced used motherboard bought on ebay and installed 16 GB RAM.

Now laptop can work with 16GB .
