Can Phenom II X6 support be added to Asus M3A32-MVP/WiFi-AP, please?
I think Asus does not want to update the bios of mainboard M3Axx to use Phenom X6...
http://event.asus.com/mb/2010/m4_6cores/
...but I don't want to buy a new mainboard M4Axx to use it.
M3Axx and M4Axx are identical, the same hardware! (AMD 790FX).
Gigabyte has already done! Why has not Asus already done?

Just to clarify you have the M3A32-MVP
DELUXE /WiFi-AP ?????
Because i cant find the M3A32-MVP/WiFi-AP model
Also , please link to the bios and il try and grab the microcode from the M4A79-Deluxe-3204 BIOS as it uses the same chipset (as you already pointed out

)

I'm sorry
Yes, I have the M3A32-MVP DELUXE /WiFi-AP.
But the hardware isn't the same, I check.
M3A32-MVP DELUXE /WiFi-AP has chipset AMD 790FX and south bridge SB600.
M3A79-T Deluxe and M4A79 Deluxe have AMD 790FX and south bridge SB750.
But M3A32-MVP DELUXE /WiFi-AP and M3A79-T Deluxe have very similar layout, in M4A79 Deluxe some components have different position.
An other question:
Why does M3A32-MVP DELUXE /WiFi-AP have 4 x DIMM, Max. 8 GB, DDR2 1066/800/667/533 and the other mainboard have 4 x DIMM, Max. 16 GB, DDR2 1066/800/667/533. Are not they similar?
I dont know why there similar but for these requests we have to get as close a match as possible to maximize chances of a succesful mod
Il look at this once i get home

I too have a M3A32-MVP. It looks like ASUS has listened and states that the board is Phenom X6 compatible!!
http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx
Hope this helps other M3A32-MVP owners :-)
The compatibility list doesn't show all BIOSes versions.
Anyway, the presence of the M3A32-MVP board states that a future BIOS will make this model Phenom II X6 compatible.
We have to wait a little...
I'm waiting too, for my M3A78-T...

I think the memory features of the two boards are the same.
By the way, I never saw a single DDR2 or DDR3 4096 MB memory module, only 2048 MB sticks, usually sold in kits of dual or triple channel configuration (2 x 2 GB or 2 x 3 GB).
I remember only a OCZ Platinum 4 GB x 2 kit (OCZ2VU8008GK, P45 Special Vista), it was very expensive, now it's an "End Of Life" product...
So I'm wondering if the maximum 16 GB expansion will ever be reached...
