Hi all, fairly new to this game, just wondering if I could request a whitelist removal on an old HDX 16 bios?

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/previ...ob-78776-2&product=3769207&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&productOid=3769206&sw_lang=

I've been able to find a few other versions of this on here (is this the Insyde Bios?) and was wondering if one of the newer versions would work? I know BIOS can be finicky, so I'd prefer to get the last update they released for my laptop, but if a newer one would work and they already have it without whitelist, that'll be fine.

Thanks for any and all help!
Hi,

please use this tool:
http://rghost.net/7GBZt7FVt

and Upload the file here. I don't beliefe that an manufacture Bios Update will remove the whitelist Wink
When the result.rar is here it is able to look for a solution.

Greetings

ZabbensX,

Thanks for the help... what am I doing with this program now? Haha, sorry, I'm a little hesitant to blindly go installing programs I know nothing about.
This tool won't install software. it runs different FTP (Firmware Tool) Versions to check different szenarios, e.g.
1) which Version can read your bios
2) is your bios write protected
It documentate all the results and saves a resut.rar on your desktop.
In the best case in this file is your bios rom data, if so there is a good chance to remove the Whitelist.

The result.rar has to be uploaded, on a hoster or here.

Hi,

I patched the BIOS, but this is my first HP Bios!
If you want to try it, be sure that the Bios Recovery (see in my signature) is working for you and prepare a stick with the old bios!
Your recovery filename is b.bin

If you are to scared, ask for a check by BDMaster.
Please give feedback.
