I am wondering how could one check the post codes on a motherboard without a pci slot? Can someone give me a hint or point me to a web resource were i can find more info?

Yes the beeps are ok, but what if the POST hangs before the beeps?? like at slots init, or like at writing settings to the reserved few kb in the RAM...there are a lot of steps before the beeps are available that are also very important and quite useful in a diagnose.
