run fptw64 -f bios1.rom
Still Error 280: Failed to disable write protection for the BIOS space!

I don't know if it helps, but I guess the mod you successful made on this laptop should be pretty similar (same processor generation, same vendor, same release date, most likely same chipset) https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...val?page=2

pay attention to the post 18 and 9, 10, 11.....I try to realize the BIOS firmware software by

run fptw64 -rewrite -f bios1.rom
fptw64 -rewrite -f bios1.rom also says Error 280...
I've read that in this thread a hardware clip was used for flashing, but I won't do that. I already flashed many PS3's with hardware cliips and I know how tedious it can be sometimes. So that is no option I think.

I hope you can get the BIOS mod to work just with software flashing. Thank you in advance, I'll go get some sleep, hope to hear from you tomorrow Wink
run fptw64 -rewrite -desc -f bios1.rom
Well that looks a little bit better Smile

test and report
After running the above command with the screenshot fptw64 -rewrite -desc -f bios1.rom I still have not a menu in the BIOS to set the DVMT pre-allocated size to 128mb or anything like that. The default value also has not changed, as my graphics driver still reports the old dvmt pre-allocated value.
