Hello Guys,

Please move to correct forum if i posted wrong im new, so not sure.

I have a HP Probbok 645 G1, and it overheats like [censored], fan is on 90% of the time. No virus on the machine and checked the processes nothing there.

One issue i thought is it may be the BIOS. It wont let me update to the latest one on HP website. I have this message :

Warning: This device has BIOS version 93.01. The utility will replace it with an older version, 01.31 Confusedmileysad:

I did try to use force downgrade (which should really be an upgrade) using phoenix tool and hp bios tool, but it says cannot read signature file all the [censored] time. Can someone please help me im desperate here Rolleyes
Hello afebmunn,

I recommend that you disassemble your notebook and clean out the vent area with compressed air. This is almost always the cause of major overheating issues in notebooks.
