If same error will appear your bios have a protection to write old versions.We can try to flash it from USB.
I try sp56747, sp56400 but I have the same problem. The sp63801 I don't found.
Now I try to flash from USB. But how can do it?

Bios unlocking is interested hobby for me (I unlocked my 6 laptops and 2 desktop systemboards) but new laptops have protection to write mods.
Ms required vendors to activate UEFI Bios so it mean other devices (exclude HDD) will be not accessable.

Rename your USB drive to HP_TOOLS. My idea was confirmed your BIOs is protected for write older versions.
Now i will find what is name of your recovery bios.I strongly recommend that you must backup your current BIOs.
