Howdy. I have been reading this forum in order to get past the WiFi whitelist on my Lenovo Y40-70 (Insyde BIOS). I used the Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0 to get my current BIOS and opened them with Andy's tool. I found the 8-byte ID of my current WiFi card and replaced it with the ID for the new one and packaged everything back up again.

I thought all was well, but unfortunately I have not been able to flash the modified BIOS onto my laptop. Sad When I tried to use FlashIt from a DOS flash drive (as suggested by the instructions with Andy's tool) it crashed before even starting (wasn't able to backup the current BIOS either).

I know it probably seems like a dumb question to y'all, but what is the best tool / method to flash modern Insyde BIOS?

Thanks for reading. Smile
