I previously erroneously made a post in AMI bioses and was redirected here (here's my original thread: https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-D...3#pid95873

I would like to overclock my dell Inspiron N5030 but the bios is locked.

I would like to have my bios unlocked (overclocking and anything else that is hidden)

The original BIOS can be found here: http://downloads.dell.com/bios/N5030_A02.EXE

Thanks in advance.
Hey Smile

Just wondering, what type of overclock you are expecting to be able to achieve with your laptop? Smile

However high I can get without melting my cpu? Tongue

I'm not really sure. I'll have to play around with it and do stress testing but probably around a 0.3Ghz increase

Sounds awesome Big Grin what are you hoping to achieve with a 300MHz increase?

Do you know how hot the CPU currently runs under idle/ moderate/ high load?

Sorry about the questions, I'm interested while you wait Smile

a 300 Mhz increase going from 2.3 Ghz to 2.6 or even 3.0 would be a massive performance boom.

At the moment I get 60 under load. I wouldn't mind 80.
bump.
bump again D:
bump once again. anyone?
