If you are still on 5.27, you have to unplug the system for 10sec for settings to save. If you check your PM, itll be cleared up a bit. Although, if you have a spare BIOS chip and are able to test, I would be VERY appreciative.

Me too! later that day I will find time to write down my experience, but I prefer to be sure that 2 or 3 others may proof it...
It looks like Im going to have 2 step up as I have this board in one of my systems, but I kinda cracked a small fracture in the bios socket while messing around with chips and am very leery about hotswapping now.

Man I tried overwriting some old bios chips "as backups" I had from other boards "Award chips" no go, But I am willing to try this on my only 1, Before I do I need this answered, My board has 4 ram slots, the Abit m2s has only two, will this matter with the bios?

Also I've been using WinFlash vs booting from floppy, can you post a link to the correct version of AWDflash I'll need just in case I need to do it via bootfloppy. I gotta work today so I may not get to it until later,
Thankz Freddy
Alright gentlemen, Its done bios seems stable, Unable to change cpu voltage, all other options available, currently running my x2 4200 @ 2760mhz, stock volts, so I'm happy.

I used abit windows flash utility to do this.

flashed twice before reboot, all booted norm.

I'll post a screenshot if necessary.
If you tap ctrl F1 or ctrl f2 in bios you hopefully should get some additional updates.
Can you post a link to which BIOS you flashed... I am wondering if you used a different version.
