Thank you very much. I've got a Dell Optiplex GX520 and I've changed the original Celeron processor for a Pentium D 830 - after flashing you modified BIOS (mod2 - new mod) it never came again that annoying error about incompatible processor detected. Good work! Thanks again!

BTW If you have mini tower (MT) version, you can try to install BTX-motherboard from these systems:
Code:

LGA1156 Dell Optiplex 980    Q57

LGA1155 HP Compaq ELITE 8200 Q67
LGA1155 HP Compaq Pro 6300   Q75
LGA1155 HP Compaq ELITE 8300 Q77

thanks so much you rock this bios mod worked great on my gx520
After upgrading the CPU on my GX520 to the D SL95W 940 I encountered the Incompatible Processor message each time I booted the computer. Updating the CPU was the only way I could get Windows 10 Pro 64-bit to load by having the required Virtualization support. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit loaded and ran fine, but I could never find a driver for my graphics card that would work reliable without crashing. The standard windows driver worked fine, but it did not take advantage of the features for the video to work smoothly. Hence, I finally gave up and went back to Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

I created a DOS disk and copied the first BIOS mod to the disk and loaded this BIOS update. It worked like a champ and my GX520 started right into Windows 7 with no nagging alert to press F1 to continue. I cannot thank you enough for this modified BIOS. It worked the first time!

Thank You!
had the same problem with the gx520 and intel pentium 820, works a treat

Thanks so much for this!
This Bios modification works very good. Anyone that enconters the message about incompatible processors should just install this altered BIOS and it will definately solve their problems. I've installed a Pentium D 820, then upgraded further to a Pentium D 945, and now I'm going a step further and installing a Pentium D 960. The hard to find Pentium D 965EE should even work with this modification. It's been great having no boot issues. Thank You so much.
