Hi there,

I've tried to add a SLIC 2.3 to the latest Dell T7400 BIOS but I keep getting an error.  Huh
I'm using AndyP's Phoenixtool v2.66 and cert and bin from MDLs repository (linked below).
Always comes back with "Program Payload Error" when run from DOS.
File size after mod is always 5KB smaller..?

The A11 BIOS I am trying to modify already has a 2.1 SLIC in it.. I am using Dynamic method but with all default switches (too nervous to try advanced settings, although I've seen a few posts suggesting this may help)

Can someone help please?

Here are details:

Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : Dell T7400

Hi all,

OK sorted!! Smile

Thanks BDMaster & Tito over at MDL.
The link to finished product is here.

Essentially, using the Phoenix Slic Mod tool (using standard Dynamic settings) will create new *.HDR file (e.g. "T5400A11_SLIC.HDR").  This can be used with Dell's own DCCU utility (Dell Client Configuration Utility) to create a windows executable file that will flash BIOS.
**  Be PATIENT using the resulting exe from DCCU - it does not display anything re: progress & takes a few minutes to finally cause system to reboot.

Thanks BDMaster for your advice & explanations!!!!  Very kind and helpful!!!   Big Grin

You can mark this request as a confirmed SLIC mod.

All the best!!!!
Many Thanks for your report my friend !
