Hey guys, the older bios on HP Pavilion dm4-2070us was modified by the gurus and wifi whitelist was removed. However, HP released a new bios fixing the infamous issue with the keyboard (typing was always cutting off letters due to slow response from the keyboard). I'm using intel wifi 6205 card that's not supported by the original bios. PLEASE remove the wifi whitelist from the new BIOS located here:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55454.exe . Many thanks!
I guess a reply within 24 hours is not always a guarantee
If someone could help the brother out, it would make my X-mass
Many thanks and happy holidays!

I wait your news.
Extracted to a folder, ran the exe, it failed in the middle of flash with "Write error" quickly showing on the screen and then exited. Nothing happened
Then i was brave enough to run the original bios update knowing that it will disable my wifi but luckily that one showed the same error... I wonder if it's due to flashing over the modified bios that you modified in the summer. Many thanks!!!
insydeflash log shows:
Flashing new BIOS stage
Flashing 0x1000 bytes from 0x00000000...
.....
Flashing 0x0000 bytes from 0x00192000...
Error code : 5(0x00000005)
i was stupid enough to reboot the laptop and now it won't post...tried original fd file renamed to bin on usb using Andy tool with 100 different combos (root dir, hp dir, etc) to no avail.....Crap....
Can't believe that people still makes their life difficult by extracting the content to a folder and bla bla...
When the easiest thing is just run the EXE and let it do.
I will have a look at it when i'm at home and have some time. Don't desperate

Unmount the hp HDD
connect it to another computer
download this restore file
Restore-f14
copy the restore directory content to the HP_TOOLS partition into :
HEWLETT-PACKARD\BIOS\Current\
and copy restore directory content into the root of the HP_TOOLS
eject the hdd
put it insyde the hp
remove battery
input the power cable
press windows key + b and keep it pressed then press quickly power
release windows + b after 10 sec
wait
Worked fine in my hp dm4 2060sf
I had to reflash the bios after that with the latest update to get back the wifi recognition.
Would love for this to be released as well. I'm still on the old firmware. Thanks!

Bump.
I have a DM4-2180us currently flashed with stock F.14 (SP55454.exe) and was hoping to find a whitelisted version of this BIOS.
Can anyone confirm that this file is working or can I request that it be whitelisted again?
Thanks!
