Hello!

I wan't to be able to overclock my HP Compaq dc5750, but i can't access that in bios.
Is somone able to unlock this 786E3 v2.36 Bios?

Here's what the bios setup looks like:
[attachment=10159]

if that bin attachment of my current bios does not work, here is the link to download the whole install archive.

What CPUID says about my motherboard:

Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
Model: 0A64h
Chipset: ATI XPRESS 200 (RS480) Rev.10
Southbridge: ATI SB600 Rev.00
LPCIO: SMSC SCH5327

PS: I did try out ClockGen to try increase clock frequency via PLL code, but without being able to increase voltage the system becomes unstable.
Sorry to revive this old thread, but this is the most relevant thing I could find. (As it's the only thread on this model system)

I was interested in trying to modify the bios of this system, but for the life of me I just cannot find what tool I need to use to even get started. Apparently this isn't a Phoenix, AMI, Insyde, or any other kind of bios I could find out about?

I read on some forums online that you can potentially check the kind of bios by pressing tab during post, but no luck on that front with this system.

Any experienced users around who can point a finger towards the right direction? Or are old AMD bios on HP systems just too rare?

Thanks,
Byun
Found out this BIOS is a Compaq BIOS, and there isn't currently any way to mod this kind. If there is any tinkering to be had here, I think it would be in finding a way to flash a BIOS from a similar family (add more CPU support...?)

Problem is that the HPQFlash utility does not allow flashing between families. I failed to find any patched version or method to patch to allow that kind of behavior. Oh well.
