Got my bios restored!!! Didn't rename bios.fd to bios.bin and then use phoenix software. After that renamed 01439.bin.DEC to 01439.bin and together with 01439.sig copied to usb. used win+b key to recover. blank screen for 10-20 sec then the update started.

I tried this BIOS today on a HP G62-b03SG Core i3-350M with IGP Graphics.

I first flashed the latest stock BIOS "F.48" sp55430.exe and then after rebooting, loading setup defaults and rebooting again proceeded with flashing sp55430_UlkMenus_ByCamiloml.exe. After flashing the modded BIOS, I entered the BIOS on reboot and gazed at the new plethora of options.

I then proceeded to load setup defaults in the modded BIOS, wanting to make sure to have a fresh start.

And that was the end of it. After loading the setup defaults from the sp55430_UlkMenus_ByCamiloml BIOS, the G62-b03SG did not boot anymore.
Screen stayed black, Caps Lock key was blinking and no amount of goodwill or laptop battery-removal or cmos battery removal made it boot again.

I therefore proceeded with recovery. Initially being hindered by thinking that all that would be needed is to put the .fd on the USB stick while renaming it to bin...
A bit later I then found out that I first needed to use PhoenixTool to split the .bin into bin.DEC and the RSA file, and then after renaming those files into .bin and .sig, the stick finally worked. While there was absolutely no progress shown during recovery (also no beeps or anything), I stopped pressing Win-B after seing the USB Stick's activity LED get into high gear (probably about 30sec after turning on). Some time later it auto-magically rebooted and I was back in Windows.

For some strange reason, after another reboot I was stuck again in the "does not boot" mode. I therefore recovered again and used the bootet Windows to flash the original HP Bios. The laptop now seems to be working fine again.

Long story short: sp55430_UlkMenus_ByCamiloml.exe is problematic on the HP G62-b03SG, because loading defaults will brick it.
I find it a bit sad that there is only this highly modified BIOS available (which probably does tamper with the iGPU/external Settings) instead of a simple Original BIOS without the dreaded WiFi chipset lock. I will therefor have to learn to live with the crappy Broadcom 4313 chipset that the laptop came with even though I despise it.
