Greetings, first time on here, trying to un-whitelist an hp laptop for a wifi card upgrade.
Hopefully I adhere to the proper posting guidelines that are pretty much universal across most internet forums.
So basically I did as much googling and searching as possible, HP support updates are all but worthless for me.
Laptop Model: 15-R136WM - 15 inch Touchsmart
System SKU: J9K44UA#ABA
Chipset: Intel
WLAN: Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bgn
Bios Reset (WIN key + B) : Insyde F 20
Newest Bios : Insyde F 39 Revision A / SP 71487
- When opening the softpaq I was looking at 4 different variants, I was able to narrow it down to the 220D option. I successfully updated from f 20 to f39 using said .bin

My goal is to install an Intel 7260 WLAN card and trying to avoid a 104 bios error.
I have noted from a post that RSA bios may brick my pc after an update if I open the bios setup, and am fully aware of that. I Can avoid opening bios.
Hopefully I included enough information. Any information or help would be very much appreciated.
I provided a link from HP for the Insyde F 39 Rev 39, but I also have the bios for the F 20, taken from my recovery partition uploaded onto drive
