Hi, I've Asus M3a78-t (790gx, sb750). I use bios 1304_slic but I can't unlock the 4th core of my x3 720 with this bios. I tried all the ACC options. In M4a series there is an "unleashing mode" to unlock the cores. Does my mobo have this feature (hidden)? It doesn't matter with or without the unleasing mode, I want to unlock the 4th core.
Can you please mod this modded (slic) bios?

Hi

I looked in the modded and original bios but theres nothing worth unlocking. Only a few options tha wont really do anything and the options that are hidden are not worth unlockking due to the general risk of bios flashing.

Unlocking cores sometimes depends on the batch of the processor - not all cpus of the same model can be unlocked!

If ACC set to "Enable All Cores" or "Auto" doesnt work then i dont think you can unlock!

May have missed it somewhere if you mentioned it before , but what CPU is in the system??

Thanks for your effort. My cpu is Phenom II x3 720be.
Sorry about that

Have you tried AMD's Overdrive Program?

You might be able to use that to unlock your cores!

Ok , please report back to us and let us know how you get on

I dont know if the software uses ACC settings and sets them. dont know much about the program , never used it as ive never had an amd processor!

Sad I couldn't unlock the 4th core. Amd Overdrive doesn't have any feature about locked cores.
Thanks for all Admin.
