I am seeking assistance with a potential screen whitelist. Background is that i upgraded my screen from a lowly 1366x768 to FHD. Problem is there is an EDID table in two modules in the bios and because my screen is not purchased from lenovo (lenovo custom edid found in the table), i lost brightness control. The screen is always at 100% brightness and buttons don't work to change it. I have tried injecting my screen's edid in the two  tables but this didn't fix it. Therefore i decided to seek assistance from someone out here more skilled at bios modding than myself.
Below are the two modules that contain an edid table (whitelist)

I'll happily compensate any helper for their time because lenovo quotes astronomical prices to change screens after warranty.
If you can, please point me in the right direction i'll be very grateful. Thanks.

I got the two modules from an x1 carbon gen 3 latest bios, added my edid to these modules and replaced in my t450 bios. Brightness control now works and 7hr of battery life. yey  Big Grin  Thanks to this forum for all the invaluable information in the many threads i read.

I purchased a T450 from eBay with the 1080p panel.  I think MAYBE I updated the BIOS and that *MIGHT* be causing my POST and WiFi issues.  It takes about 35 seconds to POST and the Wireless drops frequently.  Is there a more current BIOS mod available with the 1080p EDID code.  There is a new bios, less than a week old.  According to the ReadMe, it won't let the BIOS roll back to a BIOS older than 1.25 so I likely need a modded BIOS 1.25 or newer.

Thanks!

If this works, I owe the eBay seller an apology.

Hi, I have a T450s.  Would it be possible for you to post your modded bios here?  Or does each bios have to be manually changed?
