Hello Deathbringer...

"Asus X99 series (all models): stalk at Q-Code 19 after reboot; support V4 (pre-)QS or production processors only"

"Don't buy ES CPU with A0 stepping. Never! "

I fell for buying a similar intel confidential CPU, Was hoping it might work in Asus X99-E board, which supports .14nm and the broadwells?

Should I just send it back, or what do you mean about never buying an ES CPU with A0 stepping?

Thanks very much!
What is sSpec of your ES CPU?
Thanks for your reply and your time.

CPU says the following:

INTEL CONFIDENTIAL
QH2M ES 2.1 GHZ
The serial number after that..

These are not over-clockable, locked multiplier..
Soul purpose would be audio/video rendering, Photoshop, etc..

Intel Xeon E5-2690v4 Broadwell, 2.1 14 cores, 28 threads 3.0 max with turbo boost.

Oh wait, hmmm, the E5-2690 V4 Broadwell is supposed to be 2.6-3.5 looks like I have been mislead! OMG lol

Now what? Is there something better though performance wise multicore in this price range for the purpose stated?

Maybe this: Version 3 but actual Xeon, not intel confidential http://tiny.cc/y89sjy

Thanks again for your help, greatly appreciated!

: )
S-spec is QH2M. It has stepping A0.
Your motherboard isn't compatible with this ES CPU.
Try to return it to seller.
Thanks! Greatly appreciated...
