This is big dilemma.
If you gonna do not use TL866A in future,You dont need buy it.It is professional expensive programmer.
The best solution is desoldering your specific bios chip and replace to one of compatible with ch341a.
You may use same chip like Espionage724 have.
Anyway you ask repair service to change bios chip and flash bios from old chip.
At this moment i have no idea because tl866a is expensive hardware.

Okay, thank you for all the assistance. I'm going to figure out something.
Hello,

I got this same laptop and also TL866A programmer. I might have different bios chip tho? Found one chip named "winbond 25Q64FVSIQ", which I believe would be the bios cip? If so, which program I have to use to read the bios?

Thanks!

Hi
yes, "winbond 25Q64FVSIQ" is you bios chip
use SPI-programmer and make damp
Hm.. I cannot read the bios chip. Programmer gives OverCurrent Protection warnings. So.. I would need to unsolder whole chip to be able to read it? Or is there some trick to do it with the soic8 clip?
I have succesfully read the bios, and got 8mb .bin file. I guess that is correct. Can I attach the file here, or does it contain any sensitive data?
Thank you a lot Dudu2002 for unlocking the bios! Anyone looking to do same, I can confirm TL866A does work. I did it with the SOIC8 test clip. I had to bypass the programmer's overcurrent protection by shorting C22. I suppose bypassing is not required if you cut the bios chip's vcc pin, or desolder whole chip. Also when I flashed the unlocked bios, after done it gave error: "ERROR! CONFIG:0x000001 Buf_Val:0x00 IC_Val:0x02", but apparently, you can ignore that error. My laptop booted fine, and I had got advanced menu to my bios, with all possible options I can think of. Also my bios chip was named "winbond 25Q64FVSIQ".
I have this same laptop and would like to get advance options. I have microscope and am comfortable solder new 8pins chip, would best option just replace a different flashed chip or use programmer or use windows?

Hello everybody,

i want to unlock my Bios on my Acer Aspire V3-372 to get access to advanced settings.
My current bios is version 1.12.

https://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles...1555086634

I am not a profi but with help on this forum i could extract my bios and first test to unlock my SPI Flash lock and advanced tab with the setup_var method.

But it seems not to be working.

I get the error: (can't set variable with efi error 0x0000000000000008)

What can i do?

thanks in advance

I have an CH341a programmer and my bios chip is an MX25L6473e if it helps.

What can i do?
