I eventually found a way to invoke the flash process manually using batch script.

Unfortunately, BIOS date/revision appear to remain unchanged. So either the mod hasn't worked or the changes are aesthetically obscure (regarding revision number and date shown).
Do you suggest I try to try putting new CPU in to test? I don't have much thermal paste left hence the reluctance to. Smile
