Same bios done here https://forums.mydigitallife.info/thread...s?p=561844&viewfull=1#post561844
Quote:-Manufacturer: HP
-Notebook Model: HP Pavilion dv6840er
-BIOS revision: F.58A (sp39862)
-BIOS Type: Phoenix
-BIOS Link: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp39501-40000/sp39862.exe

SLIC: Hp 2.1
Cert: HP
Modded with Phoenix SLIC Mod 1.96
Mod method: Dynamic + Hex + Wlist check removed

Modified Bios:
HP Pavilion dv6840er_F.58A-(sp39862)_HP21_WList.rar
https://www.sendspace.com/file/ulnehz

Flash from Windows with Included Flash Utility (look readme included).
Original (non modified) same version bios SHOULD be flash at first !
Confirmed Working by Hoarfrost.

I can not understand if the modification allows the use of any wireless adapter or should I do it manually, as explained in another post.

Never modify bios in laptop, the team could stay useless?
