Hi BIOSMODS,

I have an Acer Aspire F5-572G, and specs are as follows:

Intel Core i5-6200U
GeForce 920M
16GB DDR3 L RAM
Samsung 850 Pro SSD

I am suspicious about the contents of the BIOS update - There is no .rom file or .fd or .bin file. The files are:
xerces-c_2_7.dll
platform.ini
iscflashx64.sys
iscflashx64.dll
H2OFFT-Wx64.exe
FlsHook.exe
Ding.wav
BiosImageProcx64.dll.

My old laptop - Acer Aspire E5-571PG-524H had all those files AND a 'BDW.fd' Why doesn't my BIOS file have it too?

I believe this makes it extremely difficult to have this BIOS modded and restored if I happened to brick my laptop...
Requesting your opinions please?

Thank you,
Your BIOS updater also has all those files, but it isn't as easily extractable as the other one.
You need to open the updater on another computer (different model) and when it throws an error message, don't close the program and navigate to "C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\Temp". There you will need to find a folder that looks like this: "7zS****.tmp". This folder contains all the files. After you copied the folders contents you can close the updater.
