Hello,
i have an Acer VN-591G with NVIDIA 860m graphics.
I had read that the 960m is the same gpu as the 860m, but with 10% more power.
I want to flash the vbios of the 960m to my 860m, or change the vbios settings of the 860m to 960m.

I unlocked my bios, changed the vbios and packed into modified .fd biosfile as described in other threads.
But i cant flash it with InsydeFlash or FPT tool.

FPT tool give me this error: Error 201: [FPT.exe] cannot be run on the current platform. Please contact your vendor

Thank you for your help!
I know that it is an old thread but I couldn't find the answer so I have checked this by myself.

VN7-591G with GTX860m 2GB Maxwell

What I did?
1. Bios dump with FPT v9.5
2. Extract bios dump with PhoenixTool
3. Locate in \DUMP folder two ~102KB files with GPU bios (one for gtx860m and second for gtx960m)
4. Copy file with gtx960m bios somewhere else, rename it to vBIOS.mod
5. In PhoenixTool replace GTX860m bios with vBIOS.mod file
6. Save changes and flash with FPT v9.5 using SleepTrick

RESULT?!
GPU ERROR, not recognized. Removed drivers, tried to install new but nVidia device NOT FOUND

Had to flash original GTX860m vbios. At least I've increased GPU clock to 1290MHz so it should act as a gtx960m mod Smile
