5160 is confirmed working. This is the BIOS I used (made by Deathbringer): https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5mWzL5...=drive_web

If you do this (or any CPU on this board) and the multiplier is lower than what the CPU is rated for, don't worry, it's just Speedstep. You can't disable it in the BIOS unfortunately. As soon as you run an intensive program like Prime95, your cores should start running at full speed.
This mod should work with all Xeon for socket 771.

1. Unpack all files to c:\bios
2. Run cmd with admin rights.
3. Do in command line: cd c:\bios
Then type in: WinFlash 8A1D1P34.BIN

Hey, I'm a friend of Linuxfanatic. I used the same bios he did, and I can confirm it works with the Xeon X5460. However the temperatures seem to be a bit off, by 10-15 degrees Celsius. Can you fix that? The fans are going nuts trying to cool temps that don't exist.
What's the tool you using for temperature monitoring?

I've used several, MSI Afterburner, HWMonitor, RealTemp, CoreTemp, SpeedFan, they all are way the heck off. With my hand inside the casin, on the heatsink without the fan, and on the backside of the motherboard, i did not notice any difference between my C2Q and the Xeon.
Set Tjmax=85 in RealTemp for correct temperatures.
Post a screenshot of RealTemp with this change.
Yes, I have done that, that's how I know that the BIOS is reporting the wrong temperatures. When I do that the temperatures change in RealTemp but that doesn't change the BIOS's interpretation so the fans go crazy. We're going in circles here, buddy.
Show me photos of all available pages in BIOS.
