I have a GA-990FXA-UD7 v 1.1 motherboard that uses BIOS F11d.

BIOS is here: http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/BIO...7_f11d.exe

The bug is that the BIOS changes the configuration of the ext2 register at Logical Device 07 Byte 2Ch to 01h on the IT8720F Super IO chip.

This results in a wrong value for reading the 5Vsb from the IT8720F.

The correct value and default is 03h at byte 2Ch on Logical Device Page 07.

Having an IT8720F datasheet might be helpful. Either the value that the BIOS writes can be changed or the code that writes the value can be disabled (since the desired value is the default according to the datasheet)

I have verified this works by manually changing the value with the program RWEverything. Unfortunately this does not survive a reboot.

This supposedly affects all Gigabyte motherboards based on the IT8720F chip. (Per the Linux IT87 driver author) So there may be further interest.

Thank you for any help anyone can give.
