Hello guys ,
I have an Acer E1-571 with 1.13 bios ver.
Can you help me update the bios to the latest ?
I tried to update manualy via application from the support site but gives me an error where it says that i must update to 1.xx ver...
What should i do ?
P.S. This is my first post , i would apreciate if someone can answer and not delete my post or judge somehow...
Thanks in advance !
Run Q5WV1221.exe (from BIOS_Acer_2.21_A_A.zip) on your computer to appear a window with an error.
Don't close it and go %temp% folder.
Find folder with name 7zSF744.tmp or similar.
Find Q5WV1X64.fd file in it.
Copy it to other place and close an error's window.

hello and sorry for interruption,
some laptops model when update bios require you to do a step by step upgrade not to upgrade to the last one in one step
ex. you have a version 1.0 and there is an updates of v1.3 , 1.7, 2.2 and 3.1
you cannot update from v1 to current v3.1 but you have to update those of the between first
this happen when there is a significant modification of the other version that change in the way that bios can be update or add some security setting, i see this one time and i do for this a 6 bios update one after one with multiple restart !
You can programing two eeprom in programmer
