There is a 1HCN40WW version, named redstone 1, attached.
There is a 1HCN33WW version, named threshold 2 and also attached.
The only available option in the menu is to change secure boot and and enable back flash, that is on ver. 31ww
Could anyone unlock the BIOS please? I'd be very thankful.
Hi
run this tool https://www.sendspace.com/file/mbagd4 as admin, make bios damp and report

https://www.sendspace.com/file/9x2d1r here you go, it threw around lots of errors before finishing. One of them was about a spi lock? I couldn't see it well, it was too fast.
Hi ive updated windows fully and installed the most up to date bios. the 1HCN40WW Redstone1 is the correct version for up to date windows 10 build as mentioned on their site.

Or, can be unlocked .bin file?
Or, does anyone have older version of bios: 1HCN30WW? This version should have no problem with the graphics, when you install Linux and Android.
Thank you and sorry for my english.

Hi Big Grin
I had your same problem and i can help you at installing Linux (ubuntu in my case).

First download the 1HCN30WW bios: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mob...cn30ww.exe
(Tip for the future: You can just change the official link of the new bios https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mob...cn40ww.exe
and renaming it to https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mob...cn30ww.exe even if it isn't listed)
For installing it, you must change a value inside the .inf, because otherwise it doesn't let you upgrading the bios to an older version.
Go to C:\Bios\1HCN30WW and edit Platform.inf. Find [Bios_Version_Check] and set the Flag to 0.

Your tablet will have a problem: the default rotation of the screen will be wrong, and it will be awful to boot and install Linux.
But it won't be a problem once you booted windows.

When you boot Linux use the nomodeset parameter to prevent the blank screen.

Now you can install ubuntu, good luck!
