Hello.

Is here a wizard who could mod the F5C BIOS for GA-X58-USB3 (rev. 1.0) mobo to support L5640 xeon?
Computer boots and works with all BIOS overclocking settings on default/auto. But as soon as i try any overclock (even memory XMP profiles) computer wouldnt boot. It just cycles on/off without post.

It also would not restart. It turns off but does not boot up again, just cycles on/off. After hard shutdown with power button and disconnection from power it boots up again (without necessity of clearing cmos).
sSpec for the cpu of choice - SLBV8

and overclocking / full functionality confirmed for gigabyte ga-x58a-ud3r board, unfortunately i dont have donor board to `download` bios.

This BIOS has full support for L5640.
No modification is needed.
my deepest appologies, tried just now few quick changes in clocks and voltages - indeed, with F5F BIOS everything woks!

Thank You!
Good news!

One more thing caught my eye.. i noticed few post, that request microcode update/mod for CPU`s..
xeon L5640 has max turbo multiplier of 21. Is it possible to mod microcode to force turbo multiplier across all cores at all times?
i found that there is a feature in asus mobos called `multicore enhancement`.. is something equal possible for x58 chipset?
