Hello My laptop is a lenovo ideapad 500 15acz (AMD A10-8700P 1.8 GHz)
id like to be able to use the advance config in the bios but the option is hidden.
System Manufacturer: LENOVO
System Model: 80K4
BIOS: CACN31WW(V2.04)
Processor: AMD A10-8700P Radeon R6, 10 Compute Cores 4C+6G (4 CPUs), ~1.8GHz
Please let me know what i need to do

I have no idea what that means, excuse my newness to bio moding my computer is a laptop apu.

Thanks, how come i need that tool to mode my bios while other lenovos are just a simple .exe of their bio dump? That's really confusing for me. Also how do i backup my bios for you to be able to unlock the advance tab

I also have the same laptop, what needs to be done to access the advanced bios/uefi menus? Do I need an SPI programmer?
Hi Dudu I am in the same boat as these guys albeit a bit later (using this laptop for retro gaming to teach my nephews what games were like, needed win 7/8 win 10 has baf compatibility) but this laptop was severely handicapped with poor cooling and only single channel ram.
I'm hoping I can fix the clocks so it stops throttling down to 1.5ghz and freaking out at 3.2ghz and keep the cooling stable (I've physically modded the cooling) but the fan is off then 100% then off (lags) then 100%.
I have the Si-programmer I just need a new bios to write to it as I can't figure out the code and what I should change to mod it myself, any help getting a modded one would be appreciated. I can send my saved bios if you need it.

I've been trying to mod my bios to add more settings, I just want all available options enabling if possible, including turbo boost control, my laptop overheats and I'd like to be able to adjust the clock speed etc
I have the bios editing tools but it refuses to load the settings string
obviously beyond my skill level so I was hoping someone could help me out.
