I have Compaq Presario V2424NR which is of the series Presario V2000.
The specs are:

(Processor has now being upgraded to AMD Turion ML-42 which is 2.4 Ghz
Socket: 754
Speed: 2.4 GHz
Mainboard Manufacturer: Quanta
Model: 3093 (47.10)
Chipset: ATI XPress 200 (RS480) Rev 01
Memory: 2 chips of 1GB each of DDR 300
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon XPress 200
BIOS ID: Phoenix Note BIOS 4.0 Release 6.1
BIOS Date: 08/30/2006
BIOS OEM: F.27
Chipset: Athlon 1100 Rev 0
Make Model: Quanta Presario V2000 (Product Number: EH462UA#ABA)

The laptop came with Broadcom BCM4318 (AirForce One 54g) 802.11g Wireless LAN card.
I want to upgrade it to TP-LINK TL-WN861N Wireless N300 Mini PCI  card but can't do
so because it is not in whitelist.

I want to change the BIOS to accomplish the following:

1. Remove whitelist so that I can use TP-Link wifi card.

2. Nice to have: Use 256 Mb as Video RAM which BIOS limits to 128 Mb.

3. Nice to have: Have the option to boot from USB which current BIOS doesn't support.

Can you please help me a provide a modified BIOS?
HP's website doesn't any more list the BIOS for this
laptop as it is more than ten years old.

I saw one original HP Compaq bios on this site which might work for this laptop.
It is attached for your reference.

I have never modified BIOS before and am a total newbie.
