I have this same laptop (V3-572G i7 5500U, GT840M)
I replaced the DVD drive with an HDD with adapter but it is not detected by the bios.

Your bios is rewrite protected
Bios mod can be flashed using SPI-programmer+SOIC8 clip only

I'd like to have an unlocked advanced tab and SATA settings (I replaced the CDROM drive with an HDD with adapter but it is not detected by the bios).

Can i get the modified bios for this notebook as well? I think it's the same one, same cpu, same gpu, but mine has 16gb ram instead of 8gb ram.
I need advanced settings so i can disable hyper-threading and sata settings as well because i want to replace my cd drive for a HDD drive. Thank you, acer v3-572g-71v1.
