Hey, all. I bricked my bios on my Dell XPS 13. It's the 9333 model before bios recovery was included. I've got myself a chip programmer and a chip clip and can happily read and write the chip. However, the extracted bios file from the dell update exe isn't a binary image, it's a compressed image. Has anyone got any idea how to get the actual 8 meg bin file that I need to write to the chip from the files I have?

It's 3 am and I've been at this for 8 hours now with no luck. I'm desperate!

Thanks, guys,
Max
I've found out some more info since last night. The image I have is the UEFI image without the boot block. I can extract the boot block from the original ROM but I think it may be corrupted. I'm going to patch it on to one of the images and see if that works. Wish me luck!
