I repeat:

Have you hardware programmer to recover BIOS?

yeah, it won't pass version checks.
I'm not going to do that.  Already confirmed by Lenovo staff that it doesn't work https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkStatio...-p/3804747
1. Download AMI Flash Utilities
2. Extract and copy files from amiflash\Aptio\afudos\afudos.zip\AfuDos\ to USB stick with native DOS
3. Boot from bootable USB stick with native DOS
4. Run
afudos OLD.ROM /o
I need result file old.rom

Yes, I thought I'd already mentioned that I do.  I have one of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K75...ge?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but I'll have to order a chip clip for my BIOS chip.

Give me a little bit, I think I have FreeDOS on a thumb drive somewhere.
here it is https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wai_wp0...sp=sharing

Interestingly, it's the same size as BIOS8192.rom I created with Universal BIOS backup tool v2.0 but they don't share a common MD5

Code:
Ryans-Mac-Pro:~ rcuda$ md5 /Users/rcuda/Desktop/BIOS8192.rom
MD5 (/Users/rcuda/Desktop/BIOS8192.rom) = 9f714c0d214ea7417894f8de43f04b54
Ryans-Mac-Pro:~ rcuda$ md5 /Users/rcuda/Desktop/OLD.ROM
MD5 (/Users/rcuda/Desktop/OLD.ROM) = 66ee629f07e22eae3875eef441094ab2
Ryans-Mac-Pro:~ rcuda$
Now we need to convert IMAGEA2.CAP to NEW.ROM and flash it.
1. Open .cap file by UEFITool
2. Right click on AMI Aptio Capsule
3. Choose Extract body...
4. Save as NEW.ROM It must have the same size as OLD.ROM!
5. Place NEW.ROM into FreeDOS USB stick.
6. Boot from this bootable USB stick
7. Run
afudos NEW.ROM /gan
where do I get IMAGEA2.CAP and UEFITool?
(01-09-2018, 01:02 PM)DeathBringer Wrote: [ -> ]IMAGEA2.CAP - inside BIOS for ThinkStation S30 (type 4351, 4352)
UEFITool -  inside UEFITool_0.22.1.win.zip

is this going to (or have the potential to) brick my motherboard?
