I threw in a 500mhz p3 that is known to work and still nothing, does the program doing anything to the bios or was that supposed to grab information from it?
The program loads microcode into BIOS.
ok give me a couple days im waiting on a usb eeprom programmer to re flash the bios chip and ill use msdos instead of freedos
Got my programmer, flashed 1006 beta 004 back to the chip and it fired up normally. I did the steps like you said above, but with ms-dos and it shows that it completed the injection (pic is down below), but when i restart i get a blank screen, ive even tried a different processor still no boot so i reflashed the chip and now im back to square one.
Try to use
CHECKUP6 instead of CHECKUP7.
It booted up with your bios, but it still shows cpu micro code not updated and still reads it as a pentium 2
Please make BIOS backup by Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0
And post a screenshot of regedit with expanded key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor\0
