Hi, I want to upgrade processor in a laptop lenovo b590. Can you tell me please, my BIOS supports i7-3610qm, i7-3612qm, i7-3630qm, i7-3632qm? Thank you
Post screenshots of first (CPU) & third (Mainboard) tabs of CPU-Z with current CPU.

The problem is the following. Officially this laptop does not support the i7, although the chipset should support it. In the network there are examples of successful installation of the i7 processor in the same laptop model, but there are also examples of failed attempts - when the BIOS was missing microcode processor i7 and the laptop is not loaded. I want to play it safe so as to buy the right stone. Thank you
CPUs with TDP=45W will be overheat or will not boot at all. So I recommend to use i7-3612QM & i7-3632QM.

I know about TDP. But I don't really care, because this was not a problem for the successful installations of the processor 3610 and 3630. I only care about support from the BIOS.
High TDP is the problem for VRM. Attached BIOS has support for all CPUs with Socket G2.

Hello,
laptop Lenovo B590 20208 Pentium 2020m,
Bios H5ET85WW(1.23), southbridge HM77
another one cpu is Core I7 3632qm

After my replacement it was only black screen.

Is it possible to change cpu ?
Post a screenshot of third (Mainboard) tab of CPU-Z with supported CPU.
Tell sSpec of your i7-3632QM.
Try this algorithm:
1) remove AC jack, Main Battery, and CMOS Battery
2) remove HDD and all DIMMs
3) install new CPU
4) wait 10 mins
5) press and hold power button for 30 sec.
6) install CMOS Battery and one DIMM only, inject AC jack (without Main Battery!)
7) try to boot your laptop.
P.S. Did you checked your new CPU in other laptop?

I've seen it in a work in initial laptop.
I'll do that sequence in a short time.
