I have an hp 3000mt with a core 2 duo e8400, I'm planning to upgrade to a core 2 quad q9300 but when I go to check for support, it is not supported by hp. Are there any existing bios that will make the cpu work even though hp don't have it on the supported list?

Current BIOS already has support for Q9300.

Then why hp don't include the info on the product support page?
